LlamaLAN 22 - Games Announcements (Mailer 3 of 3)

Post by CyberDrac »

LlamaLANners, you'll be pleased to know this will be the last mailer for a little while, but it will hopefully wrap up the information relating to the organised games until rules get released closer to the time. So here it is, the third installment ...

Big Team Game 2 - in line with the request to choose more games from the games list we have gone back to an old favourite that is a staple for many LAN attendees and has even featured as a tournament at previous events ... LEFT 4 DEAD 2.

This will of course require teams of four, but will be structured in a way that will allow more than just four of your Big Team to contribute to the scoring for the event.

Console Game - is currently undergoing testing, we have two titles which we feel would suit our theme and we're currently running extensive testing on them to ensure that they are LAN tournament suitable and fit for the purpose.

Community Game - we have received a single suggestion through the official channels which has been presented very well and shows that a great deal of thought has gone into its selection and the rules and organisation behind it. It is always wonderful to know that we have a tournament ready to go, however we would welcome any additional suggestions with a full plan to satisfy us that it will run successfully through a PM to any or all of the Admins, who will present it for considerations. Things that you need to include are the game, game types and rules for playing and scoring, time-scales for rounds so that appropriate time slots can be factored into the timetable and the resources that you would need to bring to bear to make it successful.

General Console Area Stuff - also in response to direct feedback we plan to run a series of mini-events in the console area to ensure that the space is put to excellent use and to give our lovely punters a distraction during the event to help fill the hours of the day with some happy gaming. We will also be addressing the lighting of the social area to allow the console area and the social area to co-exist in harmony.
