LlamaLAN XX - Let the Games begin

Post by CyberDrac »

The new pilot of the JARVIS, Che Guellama, peered into the the view screen. For the last few hours, or was it weeks, (time travel was beginning to take its wibbly wobbly timey wimey toll on the Llamas) the JARVIS had been flashing up brief, flickering images of the L-Man, and the location of the next Artifact, momentary glimpses but the imagery was unmistakable ... Llama or human, whichever reality you found yourself in there was no mistaking who their next foes were going to be. The tales had been told of Llamas, glorious heroes who had wreaked havoc in the last few weeks of the dark days, heroes who had an uncanny knowledge of the events to come and a range of skills unlike any others of that time, Llamas who seemed committed to righting what they described as age old wrongs despite the wrongs only being recent events ... history has a way of glorifying these events, making the inglorious, glorious ...

For Che, they would be just one more obstacle.

Their target may be the L-Man and the Artifact, but there's no reason why they couldn't wade through most of the Third Reich to get to him, in fact it would almost make it worthwhile, fun even!

It was gong to be a long fight to the Artifact, the L-Man had ingratiated himself with and surrounded himself with the most extreme of the Nazi War Machine.

First they would have to storm their way through Enemy Territory in four Llama teams, attacking and defending the territory they have seized. But there would be a chance for personal glory, or would it be inglory? Having fought their way through the Nazi stronghold at Castle Wolfenstein, they would then have to Return To it once more to duel with the best that the L-Man could throw at them. Flashbacks to the great engagements on the Battlefield three years previous in 1942 would haunt them, but may be they would be Free To Play the Origin of those epic battles once more. The flickering image also including a fleeting glance of an attractive, athletic, but seemingly capable young woman who seemed to be working for the Nazis, intently focused on recovery the Artifact in the fastest possible time with no compunction about eliminating anything, Man, Llama or wildlife that got in her way. At that point the JARVIS flickered up an image that convinced the crew that the JARVIS had finally lost the plot, flying at high Altitude was obviously affecting its circuits as images of cartoon planes shooting ridiculous weapons at each other flashed up in brief Technicolour.

What ever the future, or was the past, held ... it was going to Fun, Inglorious Nazi killing Fun!

As the Llamas planned their offensive one of their number spotted a peculiar road structure nearby. "What's that?" he asked, "The Llamaburgring, it's a car race course." was the reply "I've never seen a race course with loops in the Tracks, it's Mania!". The Llamas looked around with a gleam in their eyes "It seems a shame to travel all this way" suggested the Yellow Llama, "and time" the green Llama proffered, "it would be rude not to" agreed the Red Llama, "it'll kill some time before we kill some Nazis" grinned the Blue Llama. GentleLlamas ... start your engines!

The planning for the assault continued, great consideration was given to the equipment to be used. They turned to their trusty quartermaster ... designated only by the letter "G", "So, G, what wonders have you and the rest of the team in the K squad dreamed up this time?", G snapped "Don't the rest of you Llamas ever read my posts in the JARVIS' memory banks ... next you'll be wanting me to deliver your equipment to you for free!", "That's a great idea! Cheers G!" chorused the rest of the Llamas. "But what will we wear?" asked one of the assembled team "We'll need a uniform so we'll know who is who in the firefights, something in keeping with the time, something with our names on the back!", the other Llamas nodded "But we'll need to get them organised in the next four days or we'll never get them made in time!"

I hope that you enjoyed the creative writing, can you piece together the clues? Details and confirmation of your suspicions to follow ...
