Unreal Tournament 2004 Rules

THESE RULES ARE NOT FINALISED. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES

Crucial 1 v 1 Tournament - Unreal Tournament 2004

Structure
  • The tournament will take the for of a 16 player Double Elimination Tournament
    (if you lose you get a second chance in the lower bracket, if you lose in that lower bracket you are out of the tournament)

Teams
  • there will be sixteen 'teams' (players)
  • the max team size is One

Matches
  • there will be 31 or 32 matches played for the entire tournament (dependent on Double Elimination rules)
  • each match leading up to the finals will last 10 minutes
  • each match leading up to the finals will be hosted by one of the first named player, or by mutual agreement of both players
  • each match determining a prize winning place will be 20 minutes
  • each match determining a prize winning place will be played on a LlamaLAN hosted server
  • match times will be publicised at the event
  • there can be a 10 minute break between matches
  • in the event of a draw at full time there will be 2 minutes overtime in which sudden death rules will apply

Scoring
  • the in-game scoring system will be used
  • the player with the most points is the winner, if the points are equal the match is declared a draw and the overtime rules apply

Map choices
  • the maps must be chosen from a list to be published before the tournament starts
  • the maps will be selected from the following; DM-1on1-Albatross, DM-1on1-Crash, DM-1on1-Desolation, DM-1on1-Idoma, DM-1on1-Irondust, DM-1on1-Mixer, DM-1on1-Roughinery, DM-1on1-Serpentine, DM-1on1-Spirit, DM-1on1-Squader, DM-1on1-Trite
  • The maps will be assigned by the admins on a round by round basis

Fair play
  • Use of cheats and map exploits is not permitted
  • No abusive language, either spoken or written, or griefing will be tolerated

Big Team Scoring
  • The big teams are Yellow, Red, Blue and Green. Seat choice decides the big team you belong to.
  • This tournament is restricted to four single players per big team.
  • Win or lose, every player acquires points for their big team.
  • Winning a match in the upper tier earns your big team 6 points. The final counts as an upper tier match.
  • Losing a match in the upper tier earns your big team 2 points. The final counts as an upper tier match.
  • Matches in the lower tier earns your team half the points of the upper tier (3 points and 1 point respectively).
